Moon Landing & Space Accidents "He (referring to mankind and the American Astronauts) will come to travel to the corner of Luna (the Moon) where he will be captured (on film) and put into a strange land (outer space and/or the Moon).The unripe fruits (assets which take time to develop before reaching maturity, a reference to the space race, to be subjects of great scandal (a reference to the Apollo One tragedy, the Challenger disaster, and other space related accidents). Great blame (to unnamed parties) to one great praise (a reference to the United States of America).
This quatrain is a remarkable example of Nostradamus' uncanny ability to accurately forecast an amazing event which occurred in July of 1969."
It is fascinating that Nostradamus used the phrase "the Eagle" as an allusion to the U.S.A. in several quatrains, and by coincidence, the American lunar landing craft happened to be named "the Eagle" Copernicus was the original mapper of the Moon, thus the twisted phase "the corner of Luna" may be a reference (or salute) to Copernicus. It just so happens that the lunar landing craft landed near a rather large moon crater named "Copernicus"!
Its is interesting to note that in light of the Columbia shuttle crash of 2003, this quatrain which references space tragedies continues to repeat itself though out time.
